Frankfurt Airport Train Transfers
Upon arrival at Frankfurt Airport (FRA), passengers can choose from several ground transportation services, including rental cars, taxis, rideshares, hotel shuttle services, buses, and trains.

At Frankfurt Airport, two railway stations provide convenience to its millions of passengers annually.
Regional Trains Station (German: Regionalbahnhof) is below Terminal 1, Level 0. Use Sections A, B, and C at the Arrivals area.
Long-distance Train Station (German: Frankfurt Flughafen Fernbahnhof), linked to Terminal 1 by a connecting corridor for pedestrians that bridges the Autobahn.
To go from and to Frankfurt Airport, we recommend using the high-speed ICE trains
stopping at the long-distance train station at Frankfurt Airport and the central station in
Mannheim (Mannheim Hbf).
Trains regularly leave from 6:00 a.m. to midnight and only take about 35 minutes.
From Terminal 1 to the Long-distance Train Station
Follow the signs to the long-distance trains. Be careful to go to the long-distance train station since there is also a regional train station.
From Terminal 2 to the Long-distance Train Station
Follow the signs to the long-distance trains leaving from Terminal 1. To get from Terminal 2 to Terminal 1, board a shuttle bus in front of Terminal 2 or take the "Sky Line" people mover (follow the signs for Terminal 1 A/B/C/Z).
Be careful to go to the long-distance train station since there is also a regional train station.
From the Long-distance Train Station to Terminal 1
Walk across the pedestrian bridge and follow the signs to Terminal 1 A/B/C/Z; total walking time: approx. 10 minutes.
From the Long-distance Train Station to Terminal 2
Walk across the pedestrian bridge to Terminal 1. Then either board a shuttle bus in front of Concourse B Arrivals (Level 1) or take the "Sky Line" people mover from Concourse B Departures (follow the signs for Terminal 2 D/E).
Regional Trains at Frankfurt Airport
For short distances, the airport's train station is on the airport's ground floor, below Terminal 1. You can reach areas A, B, and C of the arrivals area.
Follow the signs towards Airport City Mall/Regionalbahnhof.
The Frankfurt Airport Regional Station (German: Frankfurt Flughafen Regionalbahnhof) at concourse B in Terminal 1 provides access to the S-Bahn commuter rail lines S8 and S9.
It is served by RMV (Rhein-Main-Verkehrsverbund) with direct connections to Frankfurt, Hanau, Aschaffenburg, Mainz, and Wiesbaden.
These lines have trains departing every 15 minutes to Hanau Central Station eastwards via Frankfurt Central Station and Offenbach East Station or Wiesbaden Central Station westwards via Rüsselsheim or Mainz Central Station (line S8) or Mainz-Kastel Station (line S9).
The journey time to Frankfurt Central Station is 10–12 minutes. At this station, Regional Express trains to Saarbrücken, Koblenz, or Würzburg call.
These trains provide less frequent but additional connections between Frankfurt Airport and the Central Station.

Long-distance Train Station at Frankfurt Airport
Frankfurt Airport's long-distance station (German: Frankfurt Flughafen Fernbahnhof) began operating between motorway A 3 and the four-lane Bundesstraße B43.
The station opened in 1999 as part of the first part of the Cologne–Frankfurt high-speed line; the great majority of the high-speed line opened in 2002.
The long-distance train station makes it simple to get there by train anywhere in Germany or Europe and is operated by the German Rail (Deutsche Bahn) at Frankfurt Airport.
It is the endpoint of the newly built Cologne–Frankfurt high-speed rail line, which links southern Germany to the Rhine-Ruhr metropolitan area, the Netherlands, and Belgium via Cologne at speeds up to 300 km/h.
There are about ten trains departing from this station in all directions.
Deutsche Bahn operates the AIRail Service in conjunction with Lufthansa, American Airlines, and Emirates.
